Games That Won't Kill Your Battery

Not every good game needs to melt your phone. Some of my favourites sip battery because they are turn-based or paced for short bursts, and that matters when you are away from a charger.

Turn-based RPGs and grid strategy games spend most of their time waiting for your input, so the screen and processor idle a lot. Casual arcade games with simple art do the same.

The battery hogs are usually 3D racers and real-time strategy with heavy effects. I still love some of them, but I save those for the couch.

If you want games for a full day out, lean toward turn-based and casual. Your evening self will thank you.
